Theater Education in Gettysburg for Children

The Adams County School of Musical Theatre operates a musical theatre studio offering year round instruction and performing opportunities to youth ages 4 to 18.

All of our classes/productions are taught and directed by experienced, qualified instructors with Bachelor's degrees or Master's degress or PhD in Theatre, Music, or Musical Theatre, as well as professional artists from the musical theatre and dance industry.
We currently offer classes in musical theatre, voice, acting, and creative musical arts. We accept students ages 4 to 18 and ALL of our students are cast in our productions. Spring and Fall semesters culminate with at least two musical productions each semester. Summer day camp students can perform in our summer musicals, as well as weekly camp showcaseperformances. Open auditions are held before each semester. No previous experience is required.
Our musical theatre production classes combine elements of acting, singing, and dancing taught in a fostering environment which results in a FUN and rewarding experience for all. During musical theatre classes, students learn and rehearse choreographed musical numbers from our musical productions.

We now have a special course for students ages 4-7 called Creative Musical Arts, which combines singing, movement, rhythm instruments, reading, puppetry and arts and crafts in a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment. These students will also be in our productions.
We encourage students to enroll in a variety of classes and take advantage of our additional workshops and master classes as well. More classes equal more stage time in our productions. Bring a friend along to join you in class and perform in a show together!
